The United Filipino Council of Hawaii [UFCH], a statewide federation of Filipino-American organizations has elected Jenny Alconcel Quezon, from Oahu, as a new UFCH president during the 54th annual convention held in Hilo, Big Island last July 27,28, 29, 2012 at the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort. She won with a commanding lead over her two opponents also from the island of Oahu.She is the 3rd woman president.

The convention was hosted by the Big Island Filipino Community Council [BIFCC] headed by Christina Ranan, president and Convention Co-Chairs Lito Asuncion, Dayday Hopkins, Rommel Dela Cruz with his hardworking committee members.=============
According to reliable source, there were approximately 120 delegates representing various organizations affiliated with the respective Island Councils such as the Molokai, Maui, Lanai, Big Island, Kauai, Oahu.==========
Convention theme: Re-unite, Re-Connect and Re-Energize============
Quezon is not new to the United Council. She served as Board of Governor in the past. Served past president of Oahu Filipino Community Council and president of the Annac ti Caoayan 2002, and Hawaii Filipino Womens Civic Club.==========
Elected vice president is another seasoned and active community leader in the Big Island Antonia “Toni” Lambayan. ===========
Secretary is Liza Trinidad from the Garden Isle while the treasurer is Gladys Emperador from Damilians in Oahu and another Damilians was elected as auditor Atty Vernon Rivera.
