Must be current and PAID UP MEMBER 2. Must be present during this meeting, and 3. If elected, he/she must be a chair, co-chair or member one of the 6 standing committees, or special committee, and 4. If elected must be actively available and attend in a regular monthly meeting otherwise, 6 absences the officer/director will be automatically remove without further notice NOTE: Immediate Past President is automatic member of the Board of Directors as a director. Membership qualification: with roots, decent and common ancestry, marriage or affinity or willing to support and help in the implementation of the objectives---- 2. 18 years old and above---- 3. Current and paid up member--- 4. Lifetime member when reach 75 so long as active in 2 years before reaching 75- exempt from paying annual due, however, he/she has an option to waive or give an any voluntary amount of donation from the heart----- 5. What is active----in good standing; one who is currently paid dues, active in activities and fundraisings----- 6. Can the president create a new committee----YES if deemed necessary and with the approval of the board of directors----- 7. Membership is INDIVIDUAL – not couple [HW]---- 8. Membership outside Hawaii – NO.
