Feb 2012 – Ilocos Surian Assn of Hawaii [ISAH] has elected/reelected the following members: Dr. Estrella Taong, 2vp; Davelyn Quijano, Corresponding secretary; Antonio Ipalari, PRO; Gus Concepcion and Paul Taong, Sgt-at-arms; Amado Yoro, Board of Advisers

Davelyn Quijano was reappointed as Chairperson for Mrs ISAH 2012; Amado Yoro was appointed as Chairperson for 2nd ISAH President Elpidio Quirino Humanitarian Award 2013

ISAH awarded Jeanne Margaret Mangrubang as Scholarship Recipient 2011

Some members like Herminia Gaspar, Amado Yoro, Cora Salvador are active volunteers/donors to the Hawaii Food Bank and serving dinner for the Feeding the Homeless at the Institute for Human Services

Dec 2011 - Joint participation to the ISAH Medical and Homecoming Mission represented by Antonio Ipalari, Dolly Willing, Mrs. Rosebella Ipalari, president, secretary, and member, respectively.

Awardees are Herminia Iloreta Gaspar Outstanding Nurse of the Year and Danny Agsalog Outstanding Government and Public Employee

Aug 27, 2011 – participants with the Ilocos Surian Assn of Hawaii President Elpidio Quirino Humanitarian Award

May 13, 2011 – Herminia Gaspar Awarded as an Outstanding Nurse of the Year by Healthcare Association of Hawaii

JOINT ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF ANNAK TI SINAIT AND SINAIT ALUMNI 2008-2011
[A Highlight/Brief Summary]

In what formula or chemistry mix our organizations have set and approriate application of such a F-O-R-M-U-L-A why these unseparable organization are always in the limelight within the ISAH, OFCC and UFCH?

Personally speaking, it is Communication, Commitment, Consistency, Cooperation, Teamwork, Giving and Contribution of time, talent and treasure, that make both organizations active and successful. I believe, we have the duty and obligation to do and contribute to our organizations. We have an important role to play and to safeguard, protect and promote and to accomplish our goals and objectives as promulgated in our Constitution and Bylaws.

We are here to serve in our community in a voluntary basis, to help provide assistance and share our contribution to our own town and in our alma mater.

We have individual talents, strength and expertise, hence, and collective effort we can deliver and make a positive result. Able to "make a difference"

Modesty aside, we are all ACHIEVERS in the sense that we are all members and officers of both organizations under the leadership of Antonio Ipalari and Davelyn Quijano, respectively are active member of the ISAH, OFCC, UFCH as evidence of the following facts:
• Davelyn Quijano served as an OFCC director, Chair/Co-Chair in various committees
• Davelyn Quijano is the reigning Mrs ISAH 2008-2011
• Antonio Ipalari is an OFCC director-at-large, Chair/Co-Chair of various committees especially in ISAH Green Revolution.
• Gus Concepcion served as an OFCC director, Chair of the popular Adopt a Hwy and Co-Chair Social Action Committee
• Johnny Idica served as an active member of OFCC Adopt a Hwy committee
• Jessie Ponce, Ador Quijano were participants of Adopt a Hwy, and other community projects
• Davelyn and Gus were participants with the ISAH Medical Mission Dec. 2009
• Some members were delegates to the OFCC convention 2009-2010-2011
• Some members are active officers of ISAH: Dra. Estrella Pada Taong, Paul Taong, Davelyn Quijano, Antonio Ipalari, Gus Concepcion and yours truly is a co-organizer and adviser of ISAH.
• Some of our members are volunteers on certain community projects: Adopt a Hwy, Hawaii Food Bank, Feeding the Homeless, Fund drive for typhoon victims, scholarship fundraising, UFCH Golf Tournament, others
• Some members took an active role in the political campaign in certain candidates
• Some members took an active role in the Census 2010 and receive certificate of recognition for that matter

• Organizer and Coordinator: Feed the Homeless, Adopt a Hwy, Hawaii Food Bank, Graffiti Buster/ Weed and Seed, others

• Co-Chair, ISAH Family Picnic and Christmas Party Dec 4, 2010

Acknowledgement, appreciation, a recognition and congratulations for our job well done is well deserve for everyone.

To the current leadership and members, keep up the good work !

Be the planners, programmers, brainers, strategists, implementors and achievers, and real volunteers of time. Let us continue to serve and share. Don't let these outstanding achievements and performances slow down our involvement because we have gotten them, yet, and now prefer to be inactive and do nothing status.

In essence, in action, let us be more "proactive" in the spirit of community service - share what we can NOW in shaping the future generation.

EDUCATIONAL FUND SERVES WELL WITH PURPOSE

Scholarship Recipients

1. Jeanne Margaret attending Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawaii, College of Nursing
2. Geizel Balanay Ilar attending Cagayan State University leading to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan.
3. John Carl Rafanan attend Kapiolani Community College and Hawaii Pacific University to take up Nursing.

ISAH GREEN REVOLUTION WINNERS
Two members of ATSIH won Green Revolution Contest 2010. 1st prize won by Jose Lived and 3rd won by Nora Dumlao, respectively.

    GREEN REVOLUTION CONTEST is a project by the Ilocos Surian Assn of Hawaii under the leadership of Danny Villaruz, and the Special Committee was chaired by Antonio Ipalari of Annak Ti Sinait Iti Hawaii.

  2. Our Philippine high school alumni association based in Canada is going to hold its international grand reunion in California. We will sing the Philippine National Anthem but there are members who believe we should also sing the American National Anthem prior to singing our own.
